How to Enroll Online
Enrolling online is Easy
Step #1 - Make sure you have all the information You Need
In preparation for enrolling online, we recommend you review Handout on Accessing the Participant Website the Before You Begin page. This will ensure you have all the information you will need in order to complete the online enrollment process. If you don’t know your hire date, contact Dauphin County HR prior to enrolling. If asked, the plan number is 659083.
Step #2 - Log Onto Alerus Retirement or use their mobile app
Log onto https://retirementlogin.alerus.com.
Select “Set up online access”.
STEP #3 - Enter Information and Create a Login
If you don’t know your hire date, please contact Dauphin County HR. All information will need to match what Dauphin County and Alerus have on record.
STEP #4 - Complete the enrollment process
Again, the enrollment process will go smoothly if you have your enrollment decisions made prior to starting the process. The main decisions you will need to make are who your beneficiaries will be, what type of contributions you will make, how much you will contribute, and what investments you will use. You can refer to the Before You Begin to access additional information and resources.
Step #5 - Confirm Enrollment is Complete
It is important to confirm that the enrollment process is complete and the proper amount is being deducted from your paycheck. First we recommend that you print or save a PDF of the enrollment confirmation; then we recommend that you:
Check Your Pay Stub
You should see your contribution listed under the DCT payroll deduction code for Pre-Tax Contributions and DCR for After-Tax Roth Contributions
Contributions generally begin the first paycheck of the month following the completion of the enrollment process.
Log Onto the Participant Website
log onto the participant website at https://retirementlogin.alerus.com and review your account.
Review Quarterly Statements
If you do not see the payroll deduction code on your paycheck and are not receiving statements, the enrollment process has most likely not been completed and you should contact HR.
